Rotary Vane Pumps: New Technology and NEMA Motors

Travaini Pump USA is excited to share a few recent additions to our lineup of rotary vane pumps available in the United States. In partnership with the manufacturer in Italy, we will now have explosion proof rotary vane pumps available for purchase with NEMA XP motors. The excitement does not end there. We will also be offering the standard rotary vane product line with NEMA motors and a new HWT pump model that is tolerant of fluids in the process stream.

The explosion proof pumps will be ATEX certified and available with US standard motors with XP. Our rotary vane pumps were not previously available for explosion proof applications because of the heat generated by the processes that require rotary vane pumps. With this new design, the temperature of the pumps is closely monitored and heat is diffused more efficiently.

For our standard models, we were previously bound solely to IEC motor frame sizes. We will now be able to fit NEMA motors to our standard rotary vane pumps. At Travaini Pumps USA we will be able to offer the choice of IEC or NEMA frame motors based on each customer’s individual needs.

Finally, the new HWT model of rotary vane pumps are able to tolerate 150- 200% more liquid than a rotary vane pump. Previously, we have not been able to offer rotary vane solutions for processes that involve liquid in the process stream. With this new model, customers with trace vapors will not be bound by this constraint.
